Frequently asked questions

What is Family Receipt?

It's a just-for-fun test that tallies who gave more to the family this year across 7 questions, then settles the difference in dinners out and back rubs. No real money or taxes are involved.

How do I use it?

Open your link with a nickname and post it in the family chat. When a family member answers the 7 questions they get a receipt, and the result is added to your board.

How is the result decided?

Credit items (checking in, chipping in, chores, birthdays and holidays, family plans) give +1 to whoever is picked. Fee items (nagging, going quiet) give −1. A gap of 4 or more points means 2 dinners out, 1 to 3 points means 1 back rub, and a tie means you’re all square. The split is also shown as your family share (%).

Do I need an account or personal info?

No account, just a nickname. Only the nickname and the 7 answers are saved, and anyone with the link can see the board.

Can the whole family answer?

Yes. Post one link in the family chat and Mom, Dad and your siblings can each settle up. Your board adds up what you’re owed and what you owe.

Family Receipt is a just-for-fun test with no connection to real money or taxes.
